Client Services Administrator


 

Purpose
This role is permanent and based in the Private Client Team (PCT) in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be working within the Client Servicing Team to support Advisers with new and existing Discretionary, Wealth Management and Family Office clients.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new clients, including setting up online access for clients, chasing updates on new applications with external providers

  • Setting up all payments for ISAs, SIPPs, Bonds, GIAs
  • You will be keeping back-office systems and client databases up to date and accurate, overseeing regular payments, the preparation of paperwork, processing of new business, transfers out/account closures and liaising clients and colleagues
  • Prepare paperwork, processing New Business both internally and with external providers, income withdrawals, contributions
  • Understanding and knowledge of the client database, providers and external contact procedures
  • Requesting transfer forms from providers and clients
  • Review mail and allocate to respective Advisers within the team or internal office
  • Support preparation of regular financial planning reports for clients in conjunction with colleagues in the investment team, where applicable
  • Maintain an understanding of the Company's systems including: financial planning, investment management, practice management, dictation
  • Undertake any projects or longer-term responsibilities that are assigned
  • Act in the best interest of clients ensuring the FCA's requirements and Company policies in relation to Treating Customers Fairly are adhered to

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Pershing Nexus and Xplan systems & procedures would be beneficial
  • Experience in a Financial Services company
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications specifically Excel
