Principal Officer (Waste Contracts)

Our client, based in Oxfordshire, are looking for a Principal Officer (Waste Contracts) to be responsible for the Management, monitoring and procurement of waste contracts. In the short term this may include letting/reletting of the HWRC, Clinical and POP’s contracts. You will also be asked to manage Maintenance and compliance programmes for HWRCs and closed landfills, identifying opportunities for performance improvements and cost reductions and investigate and respond to complaints, questions, queries, EOIs and FOIs.

To apply for this role they need someone who has significant experience working at a similar level in local government waste sector and a professional qualification L6 (or similar qualification in the relevant discipline) OR substantial experience in waste management in a local government context. There is also specific experience needed in landfill sites, tendering local government waste contracts and managing contracts on behalf of a local authority, all details can be provided.

If successful you will be offered an initial 4 month (likely to be extended) contract paying £340 to £398 per day Umbrella.
